Rams win defensive battle vs Grand Rapids Catholic Central

In a packed home gym on Thursday night, the Rams fought off a slow start and cold shooting to come from behind and defeat GRCC 48-42. The Rams trailed for most of the game, they were down 16-5 after the first quarter, and trailed 24-19 at the half. The Rams cut the lead to 34-31 with a late dunk by senior Jake Bascom at the end of the third. The boys dominated the 4th quarter outscoring the Cougars 17-8. Leading the Rams in scoring was Bascom with 16 points, followed by Dylan Gross with 8, Eli Wolfe with 7, Jace Opoku with 6, and senior Chase Pitsch contributed 5 points along with being a defensive stopper for the Rams. The win improves the Rams record to 3-0 on the season, they are back in action on Saturday at the Invite @ Calvin University at 6pm vs. Unity Christian. Go Rams!
