Freshman vs Muskegon High School (53 - 41) Win The Rams hosted the Big Reds of Muskegon Thursday evening in a fast pace game from start to finish. Rockford came out attacking quickly by taking a 21-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. Muskegon tried to find the answer in the second but the Rams continued pushing the tempo and would carry a 35-22 lead going into halftime. The Big Reds came out strong in the third, looking to make a run, but ultimately fell short, as Rockford was able to pull away with a 53-41 victory. Brody Belanger led all scorers on the night with a game high 16 points. Casey Bondy and Chuck Wilke each chipped in with 10 apiece. Kohbe Haumersen and Reid Mahar added 5 points each on the night, Gabe Segard with 3, and Blake Zawacki and Noah Postma each added a bucket in the offensive side. The Rams improve to 5-2 on the season and will travel to Hazel Park Monday December 22nd to take on Orchard Lake St Mary’s in a non conference matchup
