The Rockford Girls Bowling team kicked off the 2025-26 conference season with a win over Zeeland High School 30-0. Station 300 was the host center and the ladies wasted no time getting into the flow of the match winning both Baker games with 172 & 171 to to take a quick 10-0 lead. The first team game saw Junior Kyla Chapman come through with a big 220 game and fellow Junior Sofia DeLuccia shot a nice 209 to lead the team to a sweep in game one with a new season high game of 928. Game two was a little slower scoring due to some transition issues but the ladies came through late in the game and shot 837, led by DeLuccia's 210 game. Top performers toady were DeLuccia (419), Chapman (384) and nice contributions from Kristen Chapman (338), Alyx Niedermayer (314) and October Bishop (310). All in all a good team win. Next up is a date with Grand Haven on Wednesday in Muskegon at Sherman Bowling Center. Let's see if we can build on the win today and continue to push for yet another conference win.
