The girls varsity bowling team had their final home match of the season against Hudsonville. They started out well shooting 193 in the first Baker game but fell off a bit in game two to only take 4 of the 10 possible points. In the team event the girls stepped up winning 18 of the possible 20 points to take the meet 22-8 and improve to a conference best 8-1-0. The team was led by Junior Sofia DeLuccia who shot 210 and 222 in the team games while Junior Kyla Chapman contributed 183 and 186 for her two games. Sophomore Kristen Chapman, who is coming off an injury, chipped in a 167 and 171 to help drive the team win. Next up is a date with our rivals Grandville on Monday at Station 300. The winner of this match will claim the season championship and hold at least a share of the conference title heading into the post season tournament on Thursday, February 12th, also at Station 300.
