ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

After several really tough competition over the last few days, the Rams could not muster enough fire power to come away with a victory on Youth Day. The Rams started off strong opening up a 4-2 lead to end the 1st quarter. Brighton came out strong in the 2nd quarter and were able to get the game tied to end the 1st half 5-5. The Rams would take the lead in the 3rd quarter to go up 6-5 but mid-way through the 3rd Brighton would even it up to make it 6-6 to end the 3rd quarter. The Rams played extremely hard but could not find a way to get back ahead and ultimately dropped this game 10-7 to the Bulldogs. Kiah Kruisenga led the way for the Rams in scoring with 3 goals, Brooke Gordon had 2 goals and an assist, Ella Larva had a goal and an assist, Avey Maag with a goal and 8 draw controls and Jordyn Coretti added an assist. Goalie Mia Mabry had another strong game with 9 saves.
