ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The team traveled to the prestigious Oakland Hills CC to play the North Course on Monday. The event boasted some of the best division 1 and division 2 teams from around the state. The top three teams from the event were all D2 teams from the GR area, proud representation of the west side! While the Rams finished 8th we were in the top three spots for the first nine holes eventually dropping some strokes as we tried to finish in some strong winds that kicked up. Out of the D1 teams, our eventual post season competition, DCC took first with a 300 while we shot a 306, just 6 strokes between four scores, that means we are right in the mix with the top contenders. Jack Reum jumped out to an early lead in the event of 120+ players going three under with an eagle on the card, Jack eventually finished at five over. Owen Wilson carded a 74 and Connor Vanos battled the bumpy greens to shoot a 77. Rounding our the fourth score was steady Coen Beickman who shot 80.
