Not only did the rams take first in the final 9 hole jamboree but did so with an exclamation point by setting the 9 hole school record at 5 under par, 139. The previous record was set in 2014 at 141. Senior Jack Reum shot a personal all time best of 32 in his final 9 hole match as a Ram! He started with four birdies in a row and pared out from there. Chase Laverell went on a three hole birdie run as well to finish at one under. Owen Wilson, with all the teams watching on the 9th, drained a 25ft birdie putt to shoot even par and take the record from -4 to -5. Connor Vanos has his best 9 hole round of the season carding an even par as well. Also shooting his best 9 holes of the season was Austin Helsel who eagled his final hole to shoot 37! Earning a spot as the 6th man was steady Jon Perry who came in at 40, which is hard to believe we didn't take as a top 4 score. I am so proud of the team and their record setting accomplishment. This is the first team I have ever seen shoot under par as a team in any competition. I can't wait to see where the rest of the season takes us! This puts in the 8th place spot for D1 teams.
