The Rams started strong winning the first draw and connecting with a quick goal, setting the tempo for the rest of the game. After starting the game 1-1 it was all Rams from that point forward. The Rams would open up a 6-1 lead to end the 1st quarter. Avery Maag would lead the way on the draw with Brooke Gordon and Ella Larva cleaning up the loose balls on the circle. The success at the draw created good scoring opportunities and the Rams would go into halftime up 11-3. The halftime break did not slow up the girls as they would outscore Hudsonville in the 3rd quarter 3-0 creating a running clock and a 14-3 lead. Mia Mabry had another great game in goal picking up 7 saves on some very hard shots. The defense continues to amaze and allowed only 6 goals to a very high scoring Hudsonville offense. The Eagles had been averaging 18 goals a game. Leading the way offensively, Brooke Gordon had 7 goals, Jordyn Coretti with 4 goals and an assist, Ella Wagenmaker added 3 goals, Ava Wekenman contributed 3 assists, Avery Maag added a goal along with several draw controls, Defender Kyla Moore picked up her second goal of the season and Sydney Meisling added an assist. The Rams advance to the State Semi Final which will be at East Lansing High School on June 3rd at 5:00 PM. Come out and cheer on the girls as they look to advance to the State Championship.
