ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Rams were in control from the start of this game. Midway through the first quarter the Rams struck first when they were awarded a penalty stroke, after a Forest Hills defender prevented a goal by using her body to block it. Avery Maag took the penalty stroke and placed into the net to put the Rams up 1-0. Despite the Rams outshooting Forest Hills in the first half 13-0, the scored remained 1-0 at half time. The second half the Rams really played well, sharing the ball and really focused on their shot placement. They would score 2 times in the 3rd quarter to go up 3-0. Addison Raguckas placed a nice hit into the goal on an assist from Mallory Munger. Then on a penalty corner, Isabelle Schubert inserted the ball to Luna Mitchell who placed a perfect hit into the left side of the goal to make it 3-0. Mitchell was not done scoring. In the 4th quarter she made another well-placed shot on an assist from Mackenzie Madura to put the Rams up 4-0. The entire defensive crew was fantastic tonight, not allowing a shot the entire game. Libby Zink, Maddie Unger, Mia Mabry, Maddie Paul, Sammi Donehoo and Ellie Glaesman all some action tonight on the defensive end and all contributed to the shut out. No rest for this squad as they travel to Clarkston for their last away game of the regular season tomorrow afternoon. Game time is at 5:00 PM for JV and 6:30 PM for Varsity.
