ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Men’s XC Team raced to a Runner-Up finish at the 1st of 2 Jamborees in the OK Red Conference. The Rams, who are currently ranked 10th in MHSAA Division 1, narrowly missed the victory in scoring just 2 more points than currently 5th ranked East Kentwood with a final score of Falcons 54 and Rams 56. The two rivals outdistanced the rest of the OK Red that saw Hudsonville at 81, West Ottawa at 105, Grand Haven 106 and Grandville at 116. Senior Josiah Derksen was the first Ram racing to a 5th place finish. Junior Luke Bultman crossed the line in 7th, while Seniors Noah Watson and Charlie Gavan raced to finishes of 11th and 15th. Freshman Gabe Miller completed the scoring with his 18th place finish in a new personal best time of 17:09.02. Sophomores Dylan McKinney and James Hollebeek rounded out the top 7 Rams with finishes of 22nd and 25th respectively.
