ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Varsity team picked up a big conference win over Spring Lake Wednesday evening 7-0. The Rams played a well-disciplined game and moved the ball well throughout the game. The Rams scored two goals in the first quarter. Alyssa Rosebery put the Rams on the board when she gathered up a rebound off the goalie's pads and placed it into the goal. Maddie Rock them hit a hard shot into the goal on an assist from Kyla Moore. The Rams extended their lead to 5 just before half time. Alyssa Rosebery picked up her second goal of the night and Isabelle Schubert added two in the second quarter to put the Rams up 5-0. There was no scoring in the 3rd quarter, but the Rams were able to find the back of the net 2 more times in the 4th quarter. Isabelle Schubert picked up her 3rd goal on a deflection from a hard shot by Maddie Rock. Maddie Rock's 2nd goal of the game didn't need any help as it blistered past the Spring Lake goalie to put the Rams up 7-0. The Rams return from Labor Day to prepare for the Great Lake Showcase in Dexter, MI where they will face 3 of the top teams in the Great Lake region.
