Rams Varsity Tennis Takes Home the Championshsip In The Rock Tennis Quad

The Rockford Boys Tennis Team put together an impressive performance this past weekend, capturing the Rockford Quad title against Big Rapids, Sturgis, and Spring Lake. The Rams were locked in from start to finish, winning seven of nine flight championships while finishing runner-up in the other two. Despite a long day that stretched from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and even included a rain delay, the Rams stayed focused and energized throughout. Their resilience and commitment stood out as they collected 25 team points to secure the overall victory. Big Rapids finished second with 13 points, while Sturgis and Spring Lake each tallied 8. Coaches Tom Huizing and Jerry Hewitt were both impressed with their team’s effort and mental toughness. “Our doubles put great pressure on their opponents and showed tremendous commitment to getting to the net,” Coach Huizing said. Coach Hewitt added, “The singles players did an excellent job staying consistent and focusing in the big moments. Their competitive drive really showed.” The team’s enthusiasm and support for one another was evident all day, creating a strong atmosphere that fueled their success.
