Rams Battle Hard at Novi Invite, Earn Valuable Experience

The Rockford boys varsity tennis team made the trip to the east side of the state this past weekend to compete in the always-tough Novi Invite, squaring off against host Novi, Clarkston, and Birmingham Groves. The Rams rose to the challenge, finishing in 3rd place overall, just one point shy of Clarkston, while Novi claimed the team title and Birmingham Groves finished 4th. The tournament brought out the best in Rockford, as the players fought through competitive flights, showed growth on the court, and came away with many positives to build on for the rest of the season. Several Rams advanced to their flight finals, including: 3 Singles: Alex Moore 1 Doubles: Quinn Geshel & Sam Martin 2 Doubles: Joey Misiak & Jayden Fudge 4 Doubles: Broderik Gee & Julian Scott 5 Doubles: Liam Storms & Noah Clark With multiple flights reaching the championship round, the Rams proved they can compete with some of the state’s top programs. More importantly, the team gained valuable experience and confidence heading into the heart of the season.
