The Boys Varsity water Polo team picked up 2 big Conference wins this week. On Monday, September 8 the Rams welcomed the Eagles of Hudsonville into the Rockford natatorium. The Rams knew this was going to be a dog fight from the beginning as Hudsonville always plays there best against the Rams. The Rams fell behind in the 1st quarter trailing 2-4. Once the Rams regrouped going into the 2nd quarter they hit the back of the net 5 times making lead comfortable. To finish the half the Rams led the Eagles 7-5. As the game progressed the Rams struggled to stay out of foul trouble end earned a handful of exclusions which made the game interesting. After 3 quarters of play the Rams held a 9-8 lead. The fourth quarter was a back and forth match but the Rams came out with the victory winning 11-10; On Wednesday, September 10 the Rams had their first away dual game against the Zeeland Chix/Dux. The Rams started off slow but stayed composed and never looked back. The Rams had spectacular defense from the start to finish. Once the final Whistle sounded the Rams finished the game with a 13-10 victory. Next up the Rams head to Birmingham for a weekend tournament against some of the East side's best teams.
