The Varsity Rams got back on the winning track with a convincing win over Hudsonville 8-0. It only took a minute into the first quarter for the Rams to get going. Isabelle Schubert received a nice pass and after a nice save by the Hudsonville goaltender, she was able to squeeze it past to make it 1-0 Rams. Then a few minutes later, the Rams were awarded their first penalty corner. Maddie Rock delivered a beautiful hit which beat the goalie to put the Rams up 2-0. The Rams would extend the lead in the 1st quarter to 3-0 when Alyssa Rosebery deflected a nice pass from Alex Roller into the goal. The 2nd quarter was more of the same and the Rams extended their lead to 7-0 before half. Maddie Rock added two more goals and Isabelle Schubert would score her second goal of the game in the 2nd quarter while Defensive specialist Kyla Moore scored her first goal of the season on a nice shot just inside the D Line. The Hudsonville Eagles fought hard coming out of the half but it would be Isabelle Schubert with her third goal of the game that would end it with 7 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter. The Rams will host a tough East side of the state opponent when they play Father Gabriel Richard on Saturday at 1:30 PM. It is also Teacher Appreciation Day as our field hockey teams honor our teachers on the HARV.
