The Varsity Field Hockey team continues to get better and show dramatic improvement each game. The Rams came out ready to play on the home turf. Isabelle Schubert put the Rams up 1-0 when she deflected a nice pass from Avery Maag into the goal less than two minutes into the game. The Rams kept up the pressure, and really did the entire game, when Maddie Rock blistered a shot into the goal to put the Rams up 2-0. The Irish of FGR fought back and managed to get a goal to close the lead to just one goal 2-1 to end the first quarter. The 2nd quarter was more of the same and Maddie Rock added two more goals to put the Rams up 4-1 at halftime. The 2nd half was all Rockford and dominated the action controlling the ball in their offensive end most of the 2nd half. Kyla Moore brought a sideline out all the way in without anyone contesting her for her 2nd goal of the season to make it 5-1. Maddie Rock then finished the scoring in the 3rd quarter with her 4th goal of the game to make it 6-1. The Rams just cruised the rest of the way and ended with the score 6-1 over a tough FGR team. The Varsity Rams host Spring Lake on Wednesday with it being senior day and Youth Day on the HARV. Come on out and cheer on our team and the seniors and they play their last conference game. Game time is at 6:30 PM
