The Women's XC team raced to a 3rd place finish at the second OK Red Jamboree of the season. The Rams were outpaced by Hudsonville and West Ottawa who scored 38 and 48 points to narrowly defeat the Rams who scored 49. The Rams took 16 points off their score of 65 points from Jamboree #1 two weeks ago. The Rams improvement came as result of new season best and having some Rams return from injuries. Sophomore Jillian Lewakowski placed 3rd with a new 5k PR of 18:43, a big drop from her previous best of 19:11. Junior Daisy Cox returned to action in racing to a 4th place finish. Sophomore Morgan Sanders continued her strong season claiming 10th. Junior Rae Defrang claimed 13th with a new best of 19:38. Senior Alyssa Mertes finished the scoring in a personal record time of 20:31 that earned her 19th place. The PR for Mertes breaks her previous best set in her Sophomore season. A number of other Rams raced to season best times. Sophomores Claire Watson, Keagan Mulka and Kyra Shaver all had best of the year in the varsity race. In the JV race Senior Sienna Magg ran to a personal record time of 27:31 while fellow Senior Joey Sullivan raced a season best!
