ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Girls XC team completed a successful week when they raced to a Runner-Up finish out of 14 teams at the Allendale Invite. The JV Rams finished 3rd in their race out of 12 teams. For the Varsity Rams, Sophomore Morgan Sanders raced to a team leading 4th place finish while posting a new best time of 18:38. The PR was a 25 second drop putting her under the 19 minute mark for the first time ever. Sophomore Jillian Lewakowski and Juniors Daisy Cox and Rae Defrang each medaled for the Rams finishing in 7th, 9th and 19th place respectively. Defrang's race was a new record for her with a time of 19:31. Sophomore Claire Watson finished the scoring for the Rams when she ran a new record time of 20:11 which placed her 32nd. The JV Race saw Sophomore Kyra Shaver win with a season best time of 20:52. Junior Alexis Venema raced her best ever as well with a time of 26:29.
