ROCKFORD ATHLETICS I HOME OF THE RAMS

The Girls Cross Country team raced to a 3rd place and State Championship qualifying finish at the Regional Championships Saturday afternoon. The Rams were led by Daisy Cox who earned a 2nd place overall finish. The next two Rams were Morgan Sanders and Jillian Lewakowski who finished in 6th and 9th place. Rae Defrang was the 4th Ram with a 21st place finish. The final scoring Ram was Alyssa Mertes who placed 31st. Reese Defrang and Claire Watson completed the team effort with finishes of 32nd and 51st. This State Qualifying finish earned the Rams their 29th trip to the Finals in the last 31 years. A number of Rams raced in the Post Regional Open Meet to finish the day. Keagan Mulka raced to a season best time of 20:08.78 which earned her a 3rd place finish. Three other Rams had lifetime best to end their seasons. Addison Seppala ran a time of 21:53.09, Grace Blossom in a time of 22:57.62 and Alexis Venema in a time of 24:53.88. Go Rams!
